Barbara Ann Lash was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Preston Miller in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She is the oldest of seven children.  She has been a resident of Wilmington, DE for 34 years.  She was married to the late William A Lash for 35 years.  He died March 24, 2013.

Sister Lash was a 1964 graduate of Winston-Salem State University.  She majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Studies.  She retired from the Pittsylvania County School District located in Chatham, Virginia (1980).  Since moving to Delaware She was a substitute teacher in the Brandywine and Vocational School Districts for 15 years.  Her hobbies / interests are reading and studying religious materials, helping people understand God’s Word, sewing and bowling.

She became a member of Bethel AME Church in 1984.  She served as local church school superintendent of Bethel-Wilmington for 23 years.  Sis Lash is currently the Delaware Conference Church School Superintendent. Supervising 34 church schools.  She is a member of the Wednesday night Women’s Bible Study group.  She is a grief share ministry advisor and a member of the King of Kings chorus.

Her favorite scriptures are Jeremiah 29:11; Habakkuk 2:14; and Romans 12.
